  • Wagner Farm Arboretum
  • 197 Mountain Avenue

    Get in touch with nature at the Wagner Farm Arboretum. This 92.6-acre botanical garden, once a fully-operational dairy farm, has three main areas: the Children’s Garden, the Community Garden, and the trails.

    Every October, Wagner Farm hosts Brite Nites, an exciting Halloween-themed event featuring intricately hand-carved pumpkins, spectacular pumpkin sculptures, mesmerizing displays, and many more. A wide selection of food and drinks are also served at the event’s food pavilion.

    How to get there: From Interstate 78, take Exit 36 and turn onto King George Road. Upon reaching the traffic light (2nd traffic light if coming from the west and 3rd if travelling from the east), make a left on Mountain Avenue and continue on until the huge silos come into view. 

  • East County Park
  • 40 Reinman Road

    Located in the heart of Warren, the 150-acre East County Park boasts of an 800-meter multi-use trail, a multi-use synthetic turf field, a natural turf soccer field, three ponds, and two dog parks. This picturesque community park –a joint community project between the Warren Township and the Somerset County Park Commission – welcomes all families, residents, and visitors to come and enjoy what the park has to offer.

    How to get there: From Interstate 78, take Exit 36 and head toward Basking Ridge. Once there, turn right on King George Road and continue on Mount Bethel Road up to Reinman Road.

  • Dealaman Nature Trail and Pond
  • 182 Mount Horeb Road

    Also known as the George Dealaman Nature Park & Arboretum, this hidden gem is a popular outdoor spot for fishing, picnicking, and walking. The outdoor spot has a natural, wood-chipped path that leads straight to the park’s peaceful pond. The Dealaman Nature Trail and Pond also plays host to the Annual Spring Fishing Derby, a yearly event that draws in residents and visitors of all ages.

    How to get there: From the intersection of Mount Horeb Road and Mount Bethel Road, head out half a mile more to reach the Dealaman Nature Trail and Pond.

  • Passaic River County Park
  • 2027 Valley Road, Millington

    The Passaic River County Park, found less than 30 minutes away from Warren, is a 769-acre open space surrounding the scenic Passaic River. Neighboring county park scan also be used as access points to this park. It offers a variety of recreational activities such as hiking, fishing, picnicking, waterfall watching, and many more.

    How to get there: From Warren, head north on Park View Drive and turn left on Dubois Road. After turning right on Reinman Road, turn left upon reaching Saw Mill Road. Turn right on Mountain Avenue toward the entrance of the park.
