  • Michael Arnone’s 31st Crawfish Festival, June 3 to 5, The Sussex County Fairgrounds Augusta, New Jersey • Features Louisiana and New Orleans’ favorite music and food. Genres include R&B, gospel, jazz, Delta blues, Cajun, and zydeco.
  • Rock, Ribs and Ridges, June 24 to 26, Sussex County Fairgrounds, Augusta, New Jersey • The event features several bands whose repertoire can keep music lovers on their feet from 1 p.m. until late into the night.
  • Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival, June 4 and 5, Bader Field, Atlantic City, New Jersey • Bands galore enliven this “Celebration of Suds” which kicked off in 2016 and has attracted almost half a million. Its venue, Bader Field, spans 1.4 million square feet.
  • Barefoot Country Music Festival, June 16 to 19, Wildwood, New Jersey •Country music’s leading lights and upcoming artists will descend on Wildwood’s stunning beaches to perform on five one-of-a-kind stages. The family-friendly festival features over 40 artists out to make summer something to remember.

Art fairs

  • Somerville Street Fair & Craft Show, June 5, Downtown Somerville, New Jersey • This free event offers arts and crafts, dance, performers, live music, shopping, children’s rides, and food.
  • Art at the Esplanade, June 7, Elm Road, Mountain Lakes, New Jersey • Discover hidden gems crafted by the talented artists of Mountain Lakes. The open-air event offers original paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, and others.
  • Haddonfield Crafts and Fine Arts Festival, July 9 to 10, Kings Highway, Haddonfield, New Jersey • The outdoor festival is back with a vengeance after a three-year-break due to the pandemic. Its 28th edition gathers over 200 artists in a show of excellence in arts and crafts.

Events

  • The 39th New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning, July 29 to 31, Solberg Airport, Readington, New Jersey • Dubbed as the biggest summer hot air balloon and music festival in North America, this family event sees 100 specially-shaped hot air balloons going up in the air twice a day. It also offers a live concert headlined by Grammy winning artists, kiddie entertainment and attractions, amazing fireworks, a breathtaking balloon glow, Running with the Balloons 5K race, food, shopping and others.
  • Tri County Fair, June 16 to 19, Christ Church, Rockaway, New Jersey
    This free event on a 107-acre area offers family-friendly sounds, a fireworks display on Friday, a car show, monster truck rides, and acts from illusionist Jay Mattioli.
  • State Fair Meadowlands, June 23 to July 10, 1 MetLife Stadium Drive, East Rutherford, New Jersey • Bring the family to enjoy food, rides, games, free shows, and fireworks displays in this huge outdoor event.
  • Puchi Anime & Video Game Con, August 6 and 7, Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe, 100 Frank W. Burr Boulevard, Teaneck, New Jersey • Treat the family to this fun event featuring games, a maid café, anime screenings, cosplay panels, karaoke and others.
